My father emailed me recently about a new book "Sold" by Patricia McCormick. I haven't had the chance to read it yet but I am excited to. The book details the authors journey from Nepal to the brothels of India, a route of trafficking that claims thousands of women every year. It's an area that I've worked intensively on myself, and it will be fascinating to read McCormick's account. Check it out.

A recent report titled "Croatia: A Decade of Dissapointment" analyzes the key human rights problems affecting Serbs returning to Croatia, including violence and intimidation, the loss of housing rights and limited access to state employment. Successive government programs to assist returning Serbs have failed to deliver real benefits, with the qualified exception of a program to rebuild war-damaged homes. Click here to read report in full.
